Requirements

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB).
  • Minimum 5 years’ post-internship experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Registration and a valid practising licence from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).

Key Competencies 

  • Proficiency in general medical practice with ability to manage a wide range of conditions.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with proven mentorship experience.
  • Knowledge of healthcare delivery systems, clinical governance, and hospital operations.
  • Capacity to manage emergencies and coordinate multidisciplinary care.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
  • Competence in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and hospital information systems.
  • High ethical standards, integrity, and patient-centred approach.
