Job Description

Job Purpose

  • The role of the Student Application & Monitoring associate is to manage the onboarding and continuous support of members throughout their journey with CHANCEN. The associate also plays a key role in monitoring students’ progress, providing guidance on academic and behaviouralissues, and ensuring compliance with CHANCEN’s values. Additionally, the student Application & Monitoring associate conducts campus visits, supports outreach efforts, and addresses any queries from members, helping to foster strong relationships and a supportive environment for all participants. This is a dynamic and essential position for ensuring the success of students within the Chancen program.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Application and Member Onboarding

  • Conducting ISA information sessions, workshops, and guardian meetings in different PEIs
  • Conducting the signing of the ISA contract signing process between CHANCEN and the Applicants using the platforms provided by CHANCEN.
  • Conducting the signing process between CHANCEN and guardians/guarantors
  • Responding to and/or clarifying all queries from both the applicants and guardians/guarantors, or any other incoming questions from anyone.
  • Creating the content to use during meetings with both the applicants and the guardians/guarantors.
  • Support all CHANCEN members to open Bank accounts during onboarding sessions
  • Support the team to conduct outreach initiatives to meet directly with guardians and students in their local areas, building relationships and trust within the community.
  • Maintain a database of common questions and responses to streamline future communications. Establish a systematic approach for responding to inquiries from applicants, guardians, and other stakeholders, ensuring all queries are addressed promptly and accurately.
  • Prepare and share feedback reports for all onboarding sessions to generate insights and continuously improve the customer experience.

Student Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct student monitoring activities on topics such as Chancen values, personal and professional skills, and financial literacy
  • Review reports of failing students or those who didn’t complete trimester activities, and provide advice on the next steps
  • Assess cases and advise on next steps for students who have broken Chancen rules and/or values
  • Monitor student behaviours and flag any cases of disciplinary cases.
  • Conducting campus visits to engage the members and answer any queries they may have in order to build trust within the community.
  • Update the complaint and queries register on a weekly basis
  • Monitor and manage overall student monitoring activities and impact

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Education, Social Sciences, Development studies  or any related field
  • 1-3 years of experience working with youth programs, student admissions, or related roles
  • Ability to engage different and large audiences.
  • Attentive to detail, with good organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills (presentation and writing skills)
  • Knowledge on the higher education space (Preferred)
  • Experience working with universities, colleges, NGOs or student financing organizations is an advantage.
