Job Description
Brief TORs:
- Provide technical and overall coordination of the FGD activity, ensuring adherence to the discussion guide and ethical requirements.
- Support training of the FGD facilitators and provide background on the Thrive by Five project for their familiarization.
- Coordinate participant mobilization and session scheduling with the two local partners.
- Facilitate inclusive, neutral, and well-structured discussions, using appropriate probing techniques to generate comprehensive qualitative data.
- Supervise note-taking, audio recording, informed-consent procedures, and secure handling of all session documentation and data.
- Conduct post-session debriefs and quality assurance reviews to verify data completeness and accuracy for timely submission of field outputs.
- Support and troubleshoot any emerging issues from the field during the activity.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- At least three years of demonstrable professional experience in community-level health promotion, health facility–level service delivery, and/or collection and analysis of data from health service providers and caregivers.
- Prior experience in collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data is essential.
- Sound understanding of the structure of the health system in Kenya and the way in which health services are implemented at health facility and community levels.
- Ability to work with various technologies (computers, mobile phones, etc.) and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills in English. Fluency in Dholuo is essential.
