Job Description
About the Role:
The role is responsible for driving business growth by developing and managing relationships within the Chinese-speaking client segment. It focuses on acquiring new business, strengthening existing relationships, and delivering tailored banking solutions to enhance customer value and grow the Bank’s market share
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify and develop relationships with Chinese businesses and networks
- Grow the client portfolio by acquiring new customers
- Drive growth in deposits, trade finance, remittances, guarantees, and foreign exchange income
- Achieve set targets in assets, liabilities, and non-funded income
Relationship Management
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Chinese-speaking clients
- Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Chinese associations and industry players
- Deliver a high standard of customer service across all client interactions
- Serve as the primary contact for client inquiries and advisory needs
Cross-Selling & Product Optimization
- Promote and cross-sell the Bank’s products to maximize client value
- Educate clients on banking products, services, and procedures
- Work with internal teams to tailor solutions to meet client needs
Internal Collaboration
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery
- Support smooth client onboarding and transaction processing
- Address customer issues promptly and effectively
Portfolio & Risk Management
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify potential risks early
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor market trends and customer needs
- Track competitor activity and identify opportunities
- Prepare regular performance and pipeline reports
Important Relationships
- Build strong internal relationships across business units and support functions
- Develop and maintain external networks within the Chinese business ecosystem
- Collaborate regionally and across affiliates to deliver holistic banking solutions

Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university
- Fluency in Mandarin (Chinese) is mandatory
- Experience in banking, sales, or relationship management is an added advantage
- An understanding of trade finance and corporate banking products is desirable
