Job Summary
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the strategic and hands-on oversight of the nursery and farm activities.
Job Description/ Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and provide leadership to the operations team.
- Ensure the company’s operational procedures, policies, and standards are followed.
- Develop and implement operational strategies and action plans to achieve the company’s goals.
- Monitor and analyze operational data and reports to identify areas of improvement.
- Identify and manage operational risks and develop contingency plans.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and integrated approach to operations.
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers, vendors, customers, central and county governments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture or related field. Knowledge in Business Administration or related field will be a distinct advantage.
- Previous experience in a senior operations management role.
- Proven track record of delivering results and driving operational excellence.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A strong sense of organization to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- The ability to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals.
- Understanding of financial principles and budget management.
- Proficient in Microsoft office and other relevant software.
