RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct theoretical and practical lessons following the approved curriculum and competency-based standards.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, and facilitate skills lab demonstrations.
Assess students through assignments, OSCEs, practical exams, and provide feedback.
Prepare and supervise students during clinical placements, ensuring adherence to safety and professional standards.
Support curriculum implementation, quality assurance, and accreditation requirements.
Provide mentorship, academic guidance, and remedial support to students.
Maintain records, submit reports, and participate in departmental activities and CPD sessions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

Diploma or Higher Diploma in Community Health, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
Training qualification (e.g., CBT/CBET Trainer of Trainers, Pedagogy Certificate, or TVET Trainer Certification).
Valid practice license (e.g., NCK for nurses).

Preferred Experience

1–3 years’ experience teaching in a TVET institution or clinical training environment.
Experience with competency-based training, OSCEs, and curriculum delivery.
Experience supervising students in clinical or hospital settings.
